Richard Starks is a former journalist, editor and publisher, and is now a full-time writer. He was born in England and raised there and in the United States and Scotland. After graduating with an M.Sc., he emigrated to Canada to work first on a business magazine and then on The Financial Post newspaper, where he won an award for distinguished financial reporting. He returned to the United Kingdom where, with Miriam Murcutt, he ran his own publishing company for fifteen years. After selling the business, he moved to the United States. Richard Starks is the author of nine books, including three novels (a political thriller, a financial thriller, and a crime novel) also a non-fiction book on economics and the novelization of a horror movie-script by the film director, David Cronenberg. He has also written for television.
