Diptiranjan Pattanaik

Diptiranjan Pattanaik (b. 1960), at present Professor of English at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi was a Fulbright Scholar in 1996, a British Council Scholar at Cambridge in 2000, Shastri Indo-Canadian fellow in 2009 and Erikson scholar in residence in 2011. His scholarly papers have been published among others, in JCL, London, MELUS, USA, TTR, Montreal. Indian literature, New Delhi and have been presented in various international conferences in India and countries like Taiwan, Sweden, USA, Canada and England. He is a short story writer of repute and has published six short story collections in Odia. He has won the National Katha Award in 1995 and JhankarPuruskar in 2004 among others. His translations  fromOdia to English and from English to Odia have been published among others by NBT, India, Mcmillan, Orient Longman and Friends’ Publishers. His most recent translation of FakirmohanSenapati’s autobiography, Atmacharitahas been published by NBT, India in 2016.
