The Brahmaputra Literary Festival
not only proposes to focus on the languages, literatures, culture, society, politics, performance traditions, music, identity, media of the north-eastern region of the country, but also national and international elements packaged in the three day event.
SRIMANTA SANKARADEVA KALAKSHETRA is a cultural institution in the Panjabari area of Guwahati, Assam, named after the great medieval poet-playwright and social reformer Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankardeva.
It includes a cultural museum, library and various facilities for preserving, demonstrating and performing cultural items, besides a children's park. In addition to being Northeast India's largest cultural congregation, the Kalakshetra also displays major artistic excellence of Assam and rest of the north-eastern region.
